Frequently Asked Questions about Our Medical Translation Services

How much does a professional medical translation cost?

This depends on several factors: the language, the length of the document, the complexity of the subject matter, and the level of quality control, for example.

When we send you an initial quote, we will offer several different pricing options so that you can choose the best plan for your budget. Our pricing is fair, transparent and competitive, so we’re confident you’ll find an option to suit your needs.

We would like to emphasise, though, that we are not the cheapest providers – we provide a top-quality high-end service to the medical and healthcare industries. Paying above-average rates, no matter how they’re justified, will always sting a little. But when you look beyond the per-word cost and consider the value and peace of mind you get in return, the pain soon fades. Few other agencies can add as much value as we can.

How long does a medical translation take?

Again, this depends on a number of factors. We have a large team and we can split projects between multiple translators, so even the most complex jobs typically take no longer than a few days.

For projects with particularly tight deadlines, we may be able to offer express options and same-day service. When we send you an initial quote, these options will be included.

What quality controls do you use?

At Medtrans, we understand that quality is of the utmost importance in medical translations. To guarantee high standards, we have several layers of quality control.

All of our translators are native speakers of the target language. They are accredited professionals who have been rigorously tested to ensure that they demonstrate a high level of expertise in their field.

For additional quality control, you can choose to have your document proofread by up to two independent, highly experienced editors in your target language.
